Trinidad’ and Tobago’s Jason Peru is a chef, musician and now aspiring politician. In his interview with Bridgett Leslie, he reveals why food and politics are important economics for Trinidad. Also a well known musician, Jason had a hit with his Chutney Soca genre “Bubble With Me”. In 2019, he decided to pursue a political career. He believes that his culinary platform is a national tool that could propel his country’s tourism and industry agenda forward.
